My name is Michael Gracioppo, I am a 21 year old record producer based in Montreal.
I was referred to this site from a friend and have a few buddies who frequent Trance Addict.
A little about me;
At 19 I signed my second ever record to CR2, a track that was heavily inspired by Kink's remix of DJ T's Dis on Get Phyiscal. The record was supported the likes of Dennis Ferrer & KiNK himself, which really meant a lot to me. It took about a year to finish and release and came out on the Cr2 Miami 2011 Compilation.
I just finished a remix for the Dutch Duo Homework (I'm Into This feat. Moodymann) which is coming out on July 11th on Exploited Berlin.
It's been awesome to see such a great response on this one (my 3rd production to date) and the support list is incredible.
Guys like Nic Fanciulli, Boris Werner, Aldo Cadiz, Brodinski, Steffen Deux, Giuseppe Cennamo have been playing and charting it since promo began last month. I cannot wait to see the final support list which comes out on the day of the release.
This is a podcast I did for the label, which features the Homework remix.
I am inspired by the early days of Detroit techno, Circoloco @ DC10 , Stimming/Diynamic, the Berlin scene as well as all the other young cats making a name for themselves on the international scene, which really push me to stay on top of my game. However, my biggest influence is James Yancey aka J Dilla, a man who stayed true to his craft and died doing what he loved, sharing his message with the world, spending his last moments performing in a wheelchair with terminal Lupus, a true testament to the man's character and values.
The mix shows my range, although I like to start at around 117 with the aforementioned Diynamic vibe and ending with some bigger stuff, all while staying true to my deep, funky and raw oldschool sound.
The podcast also features an unreleased record I did with another member of the Trance Addict community.
I hope to learn, share and makes some new friends!
Welcome to TA mate. The truth is that there are quite a few talented producers in Montreal that are not really known locally for their work, which sometimes I find strange. Nice to see you popping in here.

agreed, i had a great time and it was awesome overall!
you set me up just fine dude :) took a bit getting used to the db4, theres so many buttons on that thing and the eqs & filters react differently then the other xone mixers but after getting used to it it was on! another quality night at stereo
