1st time to Las Vegas

Hi everyone,

I'm going down to Las Vegas for 4 days towards the end of July. Location of hotel will either be the Bellagio or Caesars so as far I understand it's right on the strip.

PARTIES

Since I'm a newbie, 1st obvious question is: where do I party?
What's good on thursday, friday, saturday and sunday? (no top 40s please)
I'm also looking for afterhour clubs and pool parties during the day (particularly sunday).

Should I be buying tickets online or should I just wait until the night of the event to buy at the door? Does it make a difference? Under what circumstances would I get line bypass? (I'll be going solo on some of these)

How much do tequila shots cost?

SHOWS/OUTDOOR

So far I am going to see Cirque du Soleil : 'O' and possibly 'Ka' (any comments on these shows?)
I'm also going to Grand Canyon by car. However, I do want to go on a helicopter ride there. For those of you who have been on one, what was your experience and was it worth the $$$?

That's all I have planned right now. PLEASE feel free to comment on anything and everything you think is relevant.

The more information the better.

Thanks for reading everyone!

"O" hands down is the best Corque show ever produced. I was left unimpressed with the war theme of Ka.

When I go to Vegas, I usually get my shows from this place:

They have several locations on the strip, and you buy the tickets they have the same day. You can get some good deals that way.

As far as afterhours, I've heard a lot of people talking about Drai's but I've never been myself.

if you are going on a non-holiday weekend and if you are with all girls.. i don't think presales are necessary.. you should be able to get comp'd admission and get walked in...

promoters will most likely ask you to come early and meet somewhere near the venue and they'll walk you into the club...a few clubs allow in-n-outs so u can just get stamped and return later...

you can PM me and i'll provide you with my promoters info :)

shots are usually $14-$18 depending on what kinda tequila you get
