Personally, I don't care for Skrillex but I want to try and give you a fair shake, here. There's some genuinely good points to the remix. Everything I heard, musically, fit where it was supposed to and it sounded consistent with my limited view on the whole wobbly-bro-step side of dubstep.
Sonically, however, it was brutally harsh. The highs were really shrill and the mix was generally fatiguing to listen to. It sounds like you cranked the gain on a limiter by 9 decibels when a simple 2 db would have sufficed.
If you take away the brutal harshness, though, really any other criticism I'd have is based entirely on my own stylistic preferences. The down shot is that less is more, where volume is concerned. The up-shot, however, is the only thing that really needs that much changing is the volume.
Mind you, I might have a better idea of the remixes less apparent weaknesses once it's decompressed.

Hahaha. I can respect that.
:P
I'm still relatively new to the production industry. And I am aware of the volume problems and differentials. I'm working on making a new version to update with. :) But thanks for the criticism and review.
But, I can still proudly say that this remix was better produced than most that i've heard (Aside from Zedd's remix and a couple of others).

have to echo the sentiments of the highs being too much!
compositionally it's not bad, but isn't it just cut up bits from the original mostly? that could be snobbery on my behalf, but I like my remixes to be pretty different from the original

To an extent, yes. It is a few sliced samples. Mostly, just reorganized and covered by my own percussion and synth. I'm not too fantastic at drifting away from the originals, though I did try that with my "Friday" remix. :P I mean, really. This Skrillex remix was made for fun and out of love for his music. I'm a huge fan, and I figure i'd make somethin' as a fan. :) I've wanted to do this for a while, anyway, and like I said before, I'm working on making a new version, plicked with the fixes of volumes and some more variation in it.
