Truth.

this past EDC has made me open my ears to more big room house.

For me it's 1999-2005, but yeah, pretty similar. In Search of Sunrise 5 was the last great ISoS album, for instance, and that was 2005. Armin's ASOT 2005 compilation was great, too. There have been a few great ones since then (Ferry's Once Upon a Night albums, for instance), but I haven't heard a mix since 05 that really, truly knocked my socks off.

Well, except Digweed's set at Avalon this year. Maybe good music is making a comeback. Slowly, but surely. :)

I am curious to know the average annual income of the top 10 trance artists each year for the past decade.

Perhaps that could give insight into the long-term trends in the popularity of trance... or ecstasy use... or both if they are too strongly correlated.

Trance seems to be the only genre I've found where people try to determine how "alive" it is. And it happens every year too :wtf:

I think Cosmic Gate did an amazing job with Departures. Only 130 BPM but still is a banger.

i agree but alesso's remix of pressure is 128 and it bangs out harder than any 132bpm trance track i have herd lately.

Trance has always been BIG with metrosexuals. I think we are seeing a huge Rise in metrosexuals across the US right now, thus, trance is coming up again. This is good for all metrosexuals and metrosexual trance Djs like Armin and Markus who stand to benefit from such a big comeback in metrosexual fashion, fads, and culture.

that wall street journal interview with Tiesto earlier this year, said he makes about 20 million a year...he answered with, about that, before taxes and fees....whatever fees mean
