WHAT TO EXPECT:
At this edition of PULSAR, we will be celebrating our 1-year anniversary, right where it all started, Stubby's bar! Come join us and celebrate all the awesome times we've had, and of course all the awesome times to come! This is just the beginning!
Expect a night full of some of the world's most cutting edge electronic dance music. Your ears will be guided by some of the most dedicated professionals in the Southern California electronic music and dance scene. These individuals have been hand selected for their tireless efforts in bringing the most modern electric sounds from around the globe to the Southern California Electronic Music and Dance scene; and now to YOUR ears, for your aural enjoyment!
The goal of PULSAR is to regularly bring together an eclectic mix of different, yet equally modern electronic dance music styles, into a united environment where many styles can be discovered, thrive, and be appreciated. In each edition of PULSAR, one can expect new and exciting sets from PULSAR residents; along with rotating guest DJ spots from the most promising up and coming, as well as long established DJ's in the scene.
To celebrate our 1-year of PULSAR events, we will be doing things a bit differently than usual. Instead of a few select (longer) sets, we will be featuring more DJ's than usual, playing shorter sets. Everybody will be playing the styles of music which they enjoy playing most. Our hope is that our passion for the music translates to the dancefloor. The night will most likely flow like this, with room for last minute changes and spur of the moment variation...

The energy will continue a gradual build up in energy throughout the night, progressive well through closing, leaving dancers wondering when the next PULSAR will be held!
So we hope you will join us for PULSAR V.10! We would love to see everybody here who came out to any or all of the inaugural year of PULSAR events! You will be TRULY happy that you did!
And on behalf of the PULSAR team, we would like to thank each and every person who made it out to any or all of the first nine PULSAR events, which made up our first year of organization; making all of them such unforgettable nights. These events have been filled with positive energy, love, support, amazingly friendly vibes, and have certainly bestowed a purpose on the PULSAR organizers to continue organizing these events for the sake of the dancers! You all make this possible, and we wouldn't be able to do this without your support! We do this for you, the electronic dance community!
ART/VISUALS:
At PULSAR we strive to create a fun, comfortable, energetic, and psychedelic environment for our dancers/patrons. With our limited pool of personal resources, we have a small collection of lights/black lights, wall hangings, and other miscellaneous pieces of decor. This is of course in addition to all of the sound equipment we are already bringing. We are always making an effort to enhance the visual experience of our PULSAR events, such that they only improve as time progresses. A large chunk of any donations we receive go towards Art/Visuals.
Of course we are well aware that in our community there are many artists, and others just waiting to express their hidden talents. That is why, in an effort to help the local art community, as well as to enhance the vibes of our already fantastic PULSAR events, we welcome artists professional, casual, or anything in between, who would like to contribute to the visual appeal of our events, and put their work out on display. Of course you are responsible for your artwork. I cannot guarantee the safety of your art pieces due to obvious circumstances created between dancers, beverages, and everything else. Artists who are interested, please contact me (http://www.facebook.com/KahnMusic) to let me know what you had in mind. I am willing to work with you, to figure out the correct placement, or any other details to make this work better for you. In addition, if you get in touch with me far enough ahead of time, I would be glad to include your art exhibit on the flier!
And of course non-artists, if you have any pieces of decor or lighting, especially psychedelic decor that is black light reactive, such as tapestries, posters, statues, incense burners, or anything else, we would love for you to bring it to add the the collective ambiance of the room.
