German producer Martin Roth has made numerous appearances on both Anjuna labels with remixes for the likes of Super8 & Tab, Boom Jinx & Andrew Bayer and Jaytech & James Grant, and this EP sees him bring his skills very much to the fore.
First up is "Deep Style"; an edgy and industrial sounding powerhouse, it’s intricately layered with taut, string-led atmospherics, murky interludes, intermittent dashes of cowbell percussion and echoey, downtuned synths. One of the standout tracks from the Anjunadeep: 03 compilation, "Deep Style" is deliciously deep and dark prog at its very best.
B-Side "Alaçatı" couldn’t be more different; an early or mid-setter with a distinctive summery vibe, its luscious, velvety swathes of synth and deep, lazy house groove also make it perfect for early morning or after-hours listening.
