Silk Digital is thrilled to present a new single by Shiftone aka Arthur Deep, one of the imprint's original inspirations. With great joy, we have watched Arthur evolve over the last four years into one of the leaders of the modern progressive house scene, with countless acclaimed releases (not only on Silk, but also affiliates Mango Alley, Proton Music, and more) and various top-charting originals and remixes on Beatport.
Arthur's latest, "Thai Spa," showcases his superlative ability of crafting uplifting melodies and innovative grooves. The Original Mix jets out of the gate with an explosive rhythm and powerful layered bassline. As the track progresses, the lead bassline chord becomes more dynamic, while dancing, higher-octave arpeggios further enhance the euphoric sound! scape. In the main break, the delicate arps are solo'ed, offering yet another breathtaking moment in Arthur's oeuvre.
Polish artist Kobana, who is in the midst of a breakthrough year as an elite prog house artist in his own right (including his contribution to the massive Anjunadeep:03 compilation), offers the first of two interpretations. A few artist signatures are on display here, such as the deep and heavy bassline, which gives the track a thunderous drive. There also various "interludes" throughout his interpretation, in which gorgeous strings offer a truly epic feel.
Finally, yet another label veteran, Schodt, offers a fabulous interpretation as well. The exceptional Danish artist, who has been a fixture on the Beatport charts in a variety of genres in recent years, has become a pioneer of the new progressive breaks genre, which is once again on display here. From the very start, his remix demonstrates Henrik's virtually unmatched gift for sound design,! with a symphony of string effects and bass "swells." Yet, the! highlig ht of the song is a newly imagined, trance-oriented lead synth, which takes the track to soaring new heights.
