the arrangement of the track put me off straight away - where's the steady build up at the start that any dance track needs?
good general sound although could do with a higher melody in the build-up to give more energy and 'life' to the track
the open high hat was out of place. not mixed well. kind of stood out (in a bad way) from the rest of the mix. |

Cheers for feedback -
When you say higher melody, do you mean up an octave??
Will have to have another listen to the OH to see if i can hear what you mean?
Still an amatuer by a long shot, just hoping to improve!!!
Much appreciated!! |

what i mean is - when i listen to the track - it sounds as though frequency wise, there is alot going on in the bass and mid-bass areas, and you have the open hat hissing away in the high frequencies - but not nearly enough sound(s) in the gap in between - say between about frequencies 2k though to about 10k.
i think you need a nice melodic synth to sit in that gap, and fill that track out.
then it will sound much fuller and 'beefier'.
try creating a track where you have sounds playing across the entire frequency range - i think this would help you make better tracks right now as much as anything! |
