Menorca’s Fran Von Vie makes his highly anticipated return to Somebody’s Story with another two original tracks bolstered by an excellent remix from label debutant DNYO from Rio De Janiero in Brazil.Building in momentum faster than an express train Somebody’s Story have wasted no time whatsoever in following on the success of the last release from Igor Cold and Ilya Malyuev.
Following on from his debut ep Somewhere Inside You Fran Von Vie continues to impress,I Was There is a wonderful composition of dreamy synth lines,tribal rhythm’s,acid influenced chords and laid back heavy flowing Tech House drum patterns all crafted together in Fran Von Vie’s cauldron to reflect the mans ever changing mood.
Not content with scaling the heights of electronic production Von Vie delivers another high level offering to take you to the summit,Came Back to Renaissance demonstrates yet another side to the mans talents,this time showing us he has the ability to entertain the dance floor aswell as get into the mind of the listener.Came back to Renaissance lays down its intentions immediately,again solid Tech House flavours almost instantly begin building into a dreamstate collage of sound,emotive uplifting synth work takes Somebody’s Story in a new and exciting direction demonstrating the labels versatility with its first real trip into up tempo dancefloor orientated music.
Finally if those two tracks aren’t enough label boss Igor Cold has handed a debut for Somebody’s Story to DNYO(Daniel Oliviera) from Rio De Janiero in Brazil,his take on I Was There compliments the original perfectly and further more reinforces the labels reputation for showcasing the very best new and up and coming producers.DNYO’s remix is a more deep down dirty Tech house track that demonstrates his skills to create a wonderful soundscape reflective of the nubreed artists,always building DNYO’s version is no messing and quickly establishes itself as a high tempo alternative take on the original with high energy bubbling under as a constant feature and the main focus of the track.
All in all this is another top quality package from a label that can only be described as being at the forefront of the electronic music revolution thats in full flow in eastern Europe,so if for some reason the first three releases from Somebody’s Story have slipped under your radar all i can ask is where have you been hiding?Do yourself a favour and don’t miss anymore as the Somebody’s Story express is beginning to gather momentum and its ever increasing notoriety within the industry is creating waves comparable to that of a tsunami.
