I'm operating under the theory that Deadmau5 does all his stuff.

It's not impossible. There are plenty of people making excellent music from start to finish on entry/budget level music-gear.

That's a lie. He has a huge professional 100k studio in his basement with all analog synths.

I see. I wish I knew before, I feel so stupid now. :D
I thought I knew most of the secrets already but this one is new.

Makes sense they spend an extra few 1000 to set up a fake studio just to pretend you're street. Wit a 100k setup the result is far less impressive.

Lol, exactly. It's difficult to be non conformist, when you sit in front of an mac all day.

For s sake, he was paid to use krks....blah angry blah angry blah...they just pay people to use their kit so hipsters will buy their crap products....etc, etc, etc.

Ah, feel better now, glad I got that off my chest.

It's not a conspiracy, that's the name of the game my friend. That is all around you. It's a integral part of the "industry." If you're an artist promoting stuff you actually use and love, well then I don't see a problem getting a bit of cash for that. But if like, Behringer phoned up and asked me to push one of their products I'd tell them to go suck one.
