Okay I made this recently, and I need some advice I made it of Traktor for the experience because I do not have a cdj just yet, eventually it will come but my fiances are a bit low right now. What do you guys think of the song selection etc? This the set flow well?
i'll give it a listen, but you might want to at least give people an idea of what the genre is at the very least. It not like anyone knows what you play knawmean?
edit: and enable the download function because soundcloud streams at a very crappy bitrate:p

Oh my bad, it's a mixture of Deep and Tech house.
WittyHandle
Flight 643 as an opener, eh? Hmmm...

:( that hurt... That hurt :P the tracklist is given in the comments.

First you want to be careful with volumes.
I can see just by the wave form, without listening to the set, that your volumes are uneven and you are clipping as by the end of the set.
I wouldn't put a set out before you master those kind of details. Cause first impressions take a while to shake off.

Can you elaborate a bit more for me. I'm not sure what you mean by clipping, and I shouldn't raise the volume in the set?
Ravemontreal
Clipping means going over 0db, and that's the massive distortion you hear by the end of you set.
It's like playing with a mixer all in the red zone. The sound is maxed out and doesn't have room to breathe, and all sounds over 0db gets damaged.
As far as raising volumes, the answer to that is pretty obvious.

Thank you for the advice, I realized I am an idiot for asking the volume question, I just realized my mistakes, thanks again.
Ravemontreal
You are not an idiot.
I know what it is when you first get hooked on electronic music.
You can't wait to put a few tracks together and share it.
DJing is VERY easy, still, some minimal knowledge about mixing and sound recording is needed.

No I realized where the volume problem came in, I was supposed to increase the high/mid/lows and I totally forgot about that half way. Or are you not supposed to do that to?
Ravemontreal
Why would you want to increase any EQing or volume while doing an online set?
You want to provide the most consistant volume experience to the listeners. Playing in a club is a different thing.
