this all would have been avoided if he just bought some ty 2 dollar baseball, brought it with him to the game and pretended to catch it. the kid wouldn't know the difference

The railings in baseball stadiums tend to be just a little more than knee-high. I imagined something like this would happen eventually. It's especially unfortunate because from watching the video it looks like he could have easily caught himself if he'd just let go of the ball. either by reaching out to the fence in front of him, or reaching back to catch the bar behind him. Even if it had just been enough to turn him in the air... Mostly, I think those railings need to be built taller.
