I have acquired my very own copy of Reason 6. I have reached a state of Nirvana with it. It is everything I hoped it would be and more.
Licensing, however, is kind of a PITA.
Nightshift
dongle?
EddieZilker
Yes, but it's incredibly tasteful. It's probably the sexiest dongle I've ever seen. Red and metallic with sharp corners like an old Tonka Truck, it rests in my USB, chugging away with approval I never got from my father; and it won't leave me, like him and all the others.

Name it "Rosebud" ;)
Hows that SSL mixer/buss comp to work with? I was asking ATX on another thread about Rewiring it with Reaper. I'm seriously considering it for a number of 'reasons' no pun intended. Primarily the mixer, Kong and the samplers.

It's ridiculous. I haven't messed around with the compressors much, primarily because I'm working on a track with them already in Combinators, but judging by minute changes I've made on the strips, EQ's are both evident and usable. Having a more dedicated channel strip is a bonus, simply for the meter, but these are packed with features I haven't touched.
I have messed around with Pulveriser a bit more. Adding it to a bass-line Combinator, I was able to dial in the sound I wanted without too much fuss. It will absolutely destroy a signal if you want it to but it can do subtle sculpting, as well and I suspect is going to be a goto unit.
Beyond that, I haven't messed around too much with anything else, in this version. I normally skip a generation but everything I've used makes the leap from 5 to 6 worth it. Kong and Thor (Version 4) are what closed the deal on 5, for me. Thor's what I used for the "guitar" sound in my most recent soundcloud posting. I have high praise for the infinitely programmable samplers as they've played leading roles in quite a few of my productions (quite a few in Version 3). It's easy to sit in Sonar and design a series of music phrases or chords I can port over to them and play back, with a note. Looping is a breeze, as well.
Sold yet?

EZ/ATX...
I'd tried building a 'desk' in reaper using the ReaEQ/Reacomp combo per channel strip. Works great but is a cluster visually and not intuitive at all. And it sucked up 40% CPU idling. Not good.
I saw all those vids before (thanks for posting them though ;) and the mixer seems perfect for what I want. Sounds punchy too.
For the samplers, I use Reaper's ReaSamplomatic and HiLife. Again, both work great, but it's just a bear deal with where Reason's NN stuff seems much more intuitive and certainly more integreated.
Kong pretty much is a no brainer for why.
I use Jupiter 8V and Zeta 2 and am perfectly served with them so Thor Malestrom aren't high on my list of 'want' but I'll be happy to use them. That said, Thor is a beast that can fill in some gaps J8Z2 lacks...small gaps, but gaps regardless.
I understand the new version of reaper thats about to hit opens the bottleneck for rewire/midi between the two as well.
To be honest, If I could have My J8 and Z3ta in Reason I'd just drop Peaper or minimize it's use as I like Reason's layout/workflow more (based on videos I have watched). But I can't, so both it is.
Also, I hear the new Automap from Novation now works with Reaper as well if anyone is interested.

A VST redrum would be hugely popular. And Scream :)

i sold it all myself.

I would buy a VST Redrum instantly. I don't know why but I'm really fond of it from years ago when I played around with Reason 3.
Just posted a rough mix (WIP) done entirely in Reason 6 (with minor mastering compression in Sonar). Still haven't bounced anything to individual tracks, yet. All tracks are run through the SSL mix channels. The bass line is run through Pulveriser and the lead synth is run through the new delay, called The Echo.
