Don't forget for us it's sets, tracks, parties and fun ol dancing. But, for him and other DJs it's still a business and their main source of income so I can understand when they take it a bit overly serious. I know tons of people at work that would be a lot harsher than that if someone questioned their business choices...

your track will not profit more than $1000(woopdidoo), upon release it will be put on youtube and from there will be ripped via a converter(by simply copying and pasting the url) to anyone who cares to do so.

sorry to anyone who is offended by my tone, thought i was just being matter of fact except for the "what else could that possibly mean" line which is really not very different than the "what does that even mean?" comment i was responding to. its certainly not in my best interests to piss of fans or people who take in interest in me or my label.
i get asked about the name of that song maybe 20-30 times a week and this is not hyperbole, in fact i was probably asked 15 times alone at that boat party.
i am protecting the interests of an artist on my label who doesn't gig much or earn much money yet from music, you can choose to believe what you want about the electronic music industry and whether or not the songs are profitable but when handled properly and when they don't get out too early they are profitable. the artist deserves to profit on this song, he wrote a great tune from the ground up, there are no samples, its radio friendly, has a great hook and yes people having more information about the song will cost the artist money, this is a fact. the closer it is released to when the hype is still around it the more i protect their interests.
they were good enough to want me to put the song on the podcast and now i'm trying to them a good turn myself, no more no less.
i commented in this thread because of the implied use of samples in the song, ordinarily i would steer clear but it was brought to my attention and quite frankly its silly misinformation and does the artist no favors.
