In February, we told you about our latest find. This month, we’ll tell you about who’s found her. Already chosen a few weeks back by BBC-1’s Pete Tong as an Essential New Tune of the Week, the debut “Free Your Mind” by Philadelphia’s Sapphirecut is fast becoming the talk of clubland.
Featured on the just released Back To Basics CD by Danny Tenaglia, “FYM” is a tranced-out departure from TWISTED’s standard fare (which is already difficult to classify). Ambient and flowing, with ethereal vocals and tribal percussion, “FYM” will set the stage for the forthcoming “Action Reaction” and album, both of which will highlight this act’s diversity and creative depth.
Danny Tenaglia has delivered a classic style re-mix of the original mix (!) making this one of our most eagerly awaited new singles, drawing big support from Tenaglia, Tong, Oakenfold and others. “Free Your Mind” will be released via Intergroove UK on September 2."
