Tom Stephan & Paulo Mojo @ System - Review

maybe this thread is not important to some peeps around here but i still decided to make one :D
i went to system yesterday with DJ LKD, DJ MG, my sista and her bf. we got there around 11 30pm and the line-up wasn't that bad, going pretty fast. i was on the guest-list, so we paid only 10 bucks each :D soon as we came in Mark Scaife was spinning as usual his pumping progressive beats, but in 20 mins time Paulo Mojo came on. never heard of this guy, but Paulo did a great job of spinning some nice deep house mainly, with some breaks here and there. he was spinning until 2 15am and then finally, Tom was getting ready in the dj booth :) as soon as they changed, the first song Tom dropped with AMAZING!! wat a sweet dark beginning, then the vocals just kicked in the right moment :D the whole club atm went totally nuts :) in other words that night Tom TORE THE ING ROOF OFF!! he knew exactly at which track to make a perfect switch, he knew exactly which tracks should be mixed :cool: i was un-en-believably impressed by his tactics on the decks! Tom spun all house, mainly tribal & progressive house! BANGING, BANGING, BANGING tunes!! dirty, nasty BEATS!! i never in my life danced my ass off to house this much :)
the crowd was pretty good, some s walking around the club, but hey thats normal, it doesn't bother me at all. as long as i dont get picked up LOL :stongue: we left around 5 20am, which we missed his last hour of the set, but there was no worries :)

| I was thinking of going but then decided not to because I feared that he would play alot of circuit house. Did he play alot of circuit house?! From reading your review it seems as if the "fun boys" were out in full force last night. So maybe he did play lots of circuit house?! |

well now that i have had 2 hours of sleep(at least).....
not bad...not bad....
Even tho im not a big tribal and progressive house fan or anything, it was something different...what was annoying tho was the 44 y/o gay dude that spoke to me and was gettin my 411 :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: |

| Im must say it was a blast the set Tom spun waz crazy so ya I cant remember much of the night but all I can say is I was way into the music. all in all great night cant wait for more nights like that to come along. soooooooooo now creamfields here I come :D :thepirate |

Think of a dj like Victor Calderone, Junior Vasquez or Peter Rauhofer. They play it at "circuit parties" (gay parties). Its kinda like NYC styled house music. A bit harder, lots of diva styled vocals, pretty tribal and kinda synthy. Local djs like Aubrey Richards play it. |

I too braved the Sound Bar for this night of Progressive house. I was supose to go to Sander in Montreal but went down and couldn't. My G-friend and I went to our favorite club to see Tom. Wasnt much of a fan of Paulo Mojo, almost made me want to stay sober, then Tom came on with ya; an amazing intro tune! Needless to say we were there till 5:30am still dancing down the street on the way to the car.
If I had of known that other Ta would have been there I would have tried to meet up. There was a lot of homos there but that because I think, that Tom is rumoured to be gay as he frequents the drag clubs in the UK. Who knwos?? unless system is prone to gays now.... I hope not.
Anyways, I had a blast, would have like to go see Sander but what can you do. By the way I heard from my buddy who reviews Shows for nocturnal.net that this show was off the hook. Sander blew the top off stereo...... |

looks like a good party that I missed
oh well I was in Montreal partying with :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: MAUS and to her progresive sounds of house, and she was just awesome, blew the out of the AREA night club....... as well
P.S. next time Marcin let me know if there are such good events like the one I just missed in advance, thanks. |

I think she thinks you are bashing gays, or making fun of gay people. Which is kinds what it sounded like, but hell after looking at the DJ_Eso party pics I don't think anyone in that picture is in any postion to do that..lol :haha: Just jokin guys..
