Hey guys, I know i will be a "noob" for asking it but .. when you don't know, you don't know! :P
Where do all the DJs find the acapellas of any songs they want to remix?
I can't find 90% of all acapellas i want to make a remix... :(

Actually, I once contacted Annies recordlabel for the acapella of Annie - Heartbeat. They sent it within a week. She's not a very famous artist, but it only takes 5 minutes to write a mail, so why not try if you really like some vocals :) |

With oFFbalaNce on this too, it's always worth a cheeky email. Dance music is "in" atm, so a remix could be seen as a great opportunity to get their artist into a totally different market (read trendy) for no outlay. Don't forget to be a little "economic with the truth" shall we say:p
If all else fails, if you can find the instrumental, there are ways to isolate a vocal alongside the original. Celemony melodyne dna can also do something similar:) |
