Johan Gielen livesets...

I've been listening to some of Gielen's live perfomances, And I must say, that the Trance Energy 2002 was the peak of it. Live from Mega Music Dance Expirience, he mixed using almost the same playlist as TE2002 (thought a little shorter :)), but the quality of the mixing is really poor in my opinion. Now my question is, if big man Gielen is on his way down, or he just had a bad day? Despite his awful MMDE liveset, I still recognize him as one of the greatest live artists along Ferry Corsten and Blank & Jones.
What is your opinion? :) |

Many *nice people* still think PvD was drunk during Mayday 2001, that top level DJs are overrated and so on. We all havr bad days and they too (since they are the same human beings as us :)) |

He sucked, sucks and always will suck.
He cant mix, can't select proper tracks, can't build his sets and only plays cheese. IMO he is worse than DJ Jean.
I have NEVER heard him spin a 'good' set |

You're right! He thinks of himself he's great!
BTW, He always plays the same tracks: Twisted, Born Slippy, etc!
He also plays tracks that we're hypped by other dj's. He doesn't have created his own style he copies everything from Armin, Jules, PvD etc. |

These days he copies from all the hardstyle DJs, just because Hard Trance is 'cool' |

So what if he throwes in born slippy, that one is a classic and a lot of other djs have their personal favourites that they throw in all the time, like Jules for instance..how long have he played Can u dig it? And what`s wrong with playing twisted? Ferry still plays Punk...
Btw I think Tiesto plays almost all the same tracks nowadays.. solarcoaster,gatex,turbulence,carrera 2 etc.. |

Tiesto plays them NOWADAYS, because it are big tunes right now! But within a (half a) year I think Tiesto won't play them anymore! Gielen is still playing records that are 1 year old or more. Tunes like Twisted aint big tunes anymore, I think it's really boring when he plays something like this in every set! |

No offence to Biohazzard & Freezel but wtf are you on about, How many Tiesto & PVD sets sound the same, too ing many, Gielen always plays with an energy in his sets and is the master of cutting, if you don't like him, simple, don't ing listen then. He could try & spin other styles like Oakenfold & Others have but then you'd flame him for that, if u dont like him take a spoon and eat his ass, cos he rules :p
