I am very pleased for the return of my friend Harry 'Choo Choo' Romero at Footwork on Saturday!
It has been a long time coming since such a talent has been to Toronto - and I have personally been looking forward to him gracing the decks in this city again.
For those not familiar - Choo Choo has mixed a number of Subliminal Records CDs along with producing a number of his own hits on Cr2, Bambossa and Defected ITH. If you like chuggy big-house sounds - you will be very impressed.
I have personally witnessed him light a number of nightclubs on fire (figuratively) in Toronto, Montreal and Miami.

I saw him play The Drink maybe in 2005, and he just destroyed the place. That was the best party I've been to in The Drink. He turned the place into an absolute sauna where your clothes were drenched within 10 minutes of being in there.

funny note my buddy and I ran into deko-ze and chilled with him for about 20 minutes walking around down-town. really good guy.

Ya deko-ze was at FW and busting out on the dancefloor for a while last night!
As for Romero.. insane. As i posted on facebook already, I knew he would be good, but i totally didn't expect that! He was supposed to play for 2 hours, but ended up on the decks for 3.5 hours!
If you ever get a chance to see this guy play, whether it's in Toronto or any other city, DO IT! You won't regret it!

Really regretting missing this. We had last-minute family come to visit and I wasn't able to see Mr. Choo Choo. :(
Glad he lived up to my expectations (in destroying the place). Hopefully he'll be brought back again soon.
