Justin Oh-A Different Place EP
A short while ago we received a set of demo's from a chap called Justin Oh. Turns out this prodigious sound was exactly the Nueva sound we strive to uphold here. Canadian Justin Oh's debut with Nueva is no slouch as the EP title track 'A Different Place' gives off the impression that he's been at this for a long time as it's beautifully orchestrated cascading melody gives way to a gorgeous strings breakdown and then returns with an unexpected ferocious build-up. Side B: 'A Distant Space' tends to sway to the more subdued and dulcet tones of a classic prog sound, but again with some of the best punch and technical quality we haven't seen for a while., , ,
