Ohhh man on some of these tunes - I swear even when I find em on Beatport they're ripped straight from vinyl lol! It's interesting though - in a way that imperfection kinda gives them more personality..

If by personality you mean galloping kickdrums every time you take your finger away from the platter :D

Is there a dress code? Can we wear shorts?

Yeah the galloping kickdrums aren't so much fun lol.. Nah by personality I mostly mean the vinyl pops and clicks and just the grittiness of the loops and samples overall. Seems like producers back then were much less concerned about getting everything crystal clean which gives everything a bit more of that human quality. I will admit the kick drums today definitely have a lot more bite to em' though :p

Oh and btw shorts are no problem at all, Santos is a chill spot - very similar to Sullivan Room regarding the vibe.

@Burak - Hell yeah Airwave is the man!!! :toocool:

For some added insanity to the night! :thepirate

Announcing the Push The Night Classics Contest!

Calling all old schoolers! On Saturday July 30th we'll be holding a contest to find out who is the ultimate classics authority with a competition to ID the most tracks from my set at Santos Party House! To enter, simply submit your best tracklist to info(at)djbradmiller.com no later than August 1st for your shot at ultimate bragging rights and the chance to win a $75 iTunes gift certificate! Three runner-ups will also receive free admission for themselves and a guest to the next Push The Night show, so sharpen those pencils and get ready to dig deep!

The rules are straightforward in that the most complete tracklist will determine the winner in regard to artist, song, and remix - although it is not necessary to ID them all. Also keep in mind that any form of teamwork or utilization of technology is allowed, but anyone who enters the DJ booth to look at a track will forfeit their chance to win. Good luck!
