DC Hub downloading problem!

I have a problem with the TA DC Hub, in that I can't browse through anyone's files! What happens is when I select to browse through a user's files, their name is added to the queue list, but nothing happens no matter how long I wait! 15 minutes pass, half an hour, even hours!!

This happens to every user I try, without exception. I've been trying for a long time but have yet to download (or *see* for that matter) a single track.

My connection is perfectly fine, so it can't be that.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

***P.S. I must say that there is a LOT of elitist attitude on the Hub. It's sickening.

don't know the answer to your question but concerning that statement I couldn't more agree...

if you are an older TA you're da big pappa... pfffff

and people dare say it's as good as AG?

damm I used to leave AG running at all times on purpose for people to leech off me...

who gives a damm if your bandwitdth is sucked when not using the computer, seriously, what's the point? where does the sharing stop? and the egoism? look at it whatever way , WE ARE ALL LEECHERS!

broadband is for sharing purposes, and I'm about to get bashed for pissing on the TA aristocracy.:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: j/k

You don't like it - you don't have to be there.

Thanks for your informative response, I feel so enlightened!!!!

Anyway after a lot of troubleshooting I solved the problem on my own. I don't think anyone cares (no one cared to provide suggestions anyway), so I won't bother writing out what was the problem/solution.

..."Foo" ... lmao.... :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

I guess it's a little late now, but for anyone else that has the same problem - you need to switch into passive mode.

Click on settings, then the connection tab, then click "Use DirectConnect in passive mode" or something similar...

Note that you CAN'T browse other user's files in passive mode. And you can't download from other passive users.

Bingo! You are da man, that's exactly what was wrong! :D

BUT I find that I *can* in fact browse other user's files even when in passive mode. Hmm..? As for not being able to download from other passive users I don't know.

How can I tell whether or not a certain user is in passive mode?

Thanks.
