Trying to set up my Audiophile 192 to work properly with Traktor 2

Hey guys,
I've been using Traktor & Traktor 2 for a while with my M-Audio Audiophile 192+a generic midicontroller that I've mapped, and it works pretty well, except I haven't found out how to cue in headphones, and just guessing if the tracks are gonna mash well is getting really boring. I've tried routing stuff back and forth, connectec the headphones to different outputs, but to no avail :(
The soundcard has 2x2 balanced I/O + spdif digital I/O.
I connect my monitors to the the main out's with a balanced cable. What's left then is Mono out L/R and the SPDIF's out.
What options am I looking at here? I use the external mixer in Traktor so I only need one out for monitors, and one for headphones.
I'm imagining getting a small mixer with spdif in, then just route the main out to it, and then out to my monitors, and using main or mon out for cueing, would solve my problem. But I'm sceptic since I'm having trouble sending different signals to Main out/Mono Out. Or I'm just a noob, i dunno.
Any help is appreciated :)
