Since I'm new here in LA.. I was wondering where everyone goes to shop for vinyl? I haven't been able to find a good shop.

what kind of music? I only know that Amoeba Music in Hollywood on Sunset has a lot of variety but I dont know what you're looking for. I used to go there almost every weekend picking out CD's from their metal section cuz they have a good variety of stuff (sub genres etc). it's a big store...and offers trade in

Amoeba is pretty solid, they send out a newsletter every week with the newest dance releases. Also check out Turntable Lab on Beverly, they'll have pretty much everything the website has www.turntablelab.com

One of the last original EDM stores still standing... Dr Freeclouds in Fountain Valley. I used to go there all the time many years ago but I haven't been there recently.

Wow I totally forgot about that place.

That's Ron D Core's record shop, I remember going there in the mid 90's...

Exodus Records in Rosemead. It's off the 60. They have pretty good selection, but I haven't been there in a few years. I agree, Amoeba and Dr. Freeclouds are best bets.

DJ Culture is still my record shop of choice if you're gonna trek down to Orange County. It's off the 405 and Beach Bvld in Huntington Beach.

Definitely check out Amoeba, they have a pretty big selection of new and old. The buyer updates their blog weekly with new releases as well.
