was not expecting to see Sade on that list. still, i see what you mean. it's a bit strange that the term comes to refer to a pleasant kind of sonic mud.

stuff without sharp edges that sounds like it could be real instruments, or at least synths that are less mechanical and more natural sounding, like if you Humanize and use a random lfo. In 'organic' stuff you'll generally find subtle human error

to me organic sound means real instruments or samples of it used instead of synthesis. hiphop (oldschool of course) is more "organic" than techno for instance (imo).
