Have you ever started a conversation with a stranger and, for some reason, you spent almost all day long with this person?
I'm asking about it because it actually happen twice to me. Once, I bumped into a gorgeous blonde at a shopping mall and asked her about something. I don't know how it happened, but we spent the rest of the day together (it was very cool, we had dinner, watched a film, things like that). The other one was an Asian tourist who was lost (I must've spent at least 6 hours talking to her and showing the city).
Do things like that usually happen or I'm the only one with this kind of stories? :conf: I don't know anyone else who had done such thing  |

| Happens all the time at raves and clubs, never in the normal life. I'm shy when I'm sober, but I can be your best friend when I'm rolling or drunk. |

2-3 weeks ago me and my friend was walking through a park. After a while we met a guy, who asked my mate if he had a cigarett.
He got one, and asked us if we wanted to talk for a couple of minutes.
We said sure go ahead, and the stranger started to talk about that life really sucks sometimes.
He also told us that he was a amfetamin addict, because he was born with some disease that always made him feel tired.
The stranger also told us that he was homeless atm and that he got kicked out by he`s parents recently.
Well, the stranger talked on about everything and asked us what we thought about life and if we could relate to his problems.
This stranger talked on for 3 hours and the conversation were quite intersting. |

| It may sound werid but I'll sometimes inetentionaly start converstaions with strangers in hopes of something interesting to come up. They're have been homeless people I've met who have lived the most interesting lives, the best place to do this is Berkeley, since many of the homless there are niether addicts nor "Bums", just down on their luck |

I've done it a bit but can't really think of any particular times, they're normally just chatting to stranger for awhile but not really all day. I'd love to do it if I had nothing to do for the day...
I think it happens most on the train, like a 40 min train ride you just chat to people near you. Or if you're in a group, cos then you don't feel like an idiot if a bunch of you are talking...
and kinetica you're probably kidding but I feel sorry for people in other countries a lot cos here in Aus, the chance of that happening to u, even your wallet "disappearing" is like 1%. You don't have to worry about something happening to you, so most people are more than happy to chat/whatever... |

I know I should, but (as far as I know) that is kinda common here in Brazil, specially in cities on the beach, like Rio, Santos or Salvador - my city is a lot colder then the average, I don't even know my neighbours, for example. I wouldn't normally do such things, but it felt so right that I didn't even think about it. (Actually, that's why I didn't start a relationship with that gourgeous blond - her parents thought it was too weird for people to meet that way).
Yeah, I looked my wallet after it, and there was no money inside (I had spent it all :D ). Anyway, thanks for the advice, Kinetica, but, I'm just wondering now, how are we supposed to pick up girls on the streets, then? :conf: |

I agree with you on this one. I live in Los Angeles too. If you want to meet nice people, go to Santa Monica, or towns by the beach. Everywhere else, approach people at your own risk. |
