but i dont really like vocals... some are good tracks IMHO but i prefer without fem. vocals.

i really like:

and MUTE - missed the beat

i also like
vincent de moor - eternity is a real nice song...

I've found that just by being on this board Im exposed to a way wider range of trance than I was before so my favorite kinds of trance have expanded. So dont discount stuff because it's not what you are used to. I think most people on this board could name a few songs they hated at first but on second listen loved.

Well if yer lookin for some progressive tunes then all you really need to know right now is Sasha. Can't go wrong with any of his stuff. Get all his Global Underground releases which are both masterpieces. Also be sure to check out his new album "Airdrawn Dagger" which is 11 original tracks all produced and mixed by the man himself. Its easily my pick for album of the year and ranks right up there on my alltime list. Some people who are strictly into hard trance or "cheese" probably wont appriciate it as much as they should. Their loss. ;) Also checkout John Digweeds latest mixed album titled "MM II". Great stuff. Tight mixing and a sweet tracklist. And before I go I can't leave without mentioning Sasha and Digweeds "Northern Exposure" series. More melodic and chilled rather than dark and progessive but great stuff and a must for any trance fan. Ok ok one last recommendation. I simply cant go without saying you must own Oakenfolds "Global Underground - New York". Its a true classic in every sense of the word and is Oakey at his very best.

Damn I could list so much more but ehhh...I'm tired. Enjoy your hunt for great trance music. You've got a lot of catching up to do. :)

If he is new I personally would aim towards getting sets rather than singles cos then he gets alot of different styles :thepirate
