people that like Valhalla are easily impressed and don't understand the controls on the front of a decent reverb unit ;) |

I guess you can label me "easily impressed and stupid", then. :D Valhalla Room is an excellent reverb for one simple reason: it sounds great. |

I beg to differ. The reverb included in Ableton is catastrophic. |

I heard a lot of things in Abelton are catastrophic. |

Awwww shutup :p
I think Valhalla is superb tbh. But AA can sound equally lush and can do so much more. |

Reviving this from the ashes.
I don't know what you all are talking about. All of these verbs (except Ableton's default one) sound great to my ears.
Valhalla Room does have a certain uniqueness to it, but ArtsAcoustic works well too. Lexicon is also cool, but way more expensive.
So in the end...
I chose 2C-Audio Aether. Why?
I liked the interface :D |

Good choice. I love Aether. The only thing I'll warn you about, in case you haven't already discovered it, is that it is a huge CPU hog especially if you're running it in high quality mode during normal mixing/composition work. And, if you render a track with it in high-quality mode, it can take forever in some cases. And, using it for a vocalist's reverb when tracking is a very bad idea IME. Aside from that, yes definitely my favorite reverb, with Valhalla Room and Aether's younger brother Breeze coming in close second. Actually, I usually use Breeze for the bulk of my project and scratch tracks to conserve CPU until it approaches time for final mixdown, at which point I'll often swap it out for Aether. |

| Mir , Altiverb and lexicon. Use the lexicon for tails. For dance, I don't think reverb matters as much. Would use just the lexicon. |
