hey speaking of french movies... i saw a en weird ass french movie (it was also converted to a US version)... it was about this guy who loses his wife at a gas station... like a year later.. someone contacts him and tells him he knows where the wife is.. and the husband goes every which way, using clues the mystery man gives him in search of his lost wife
at the end of the movie i was like... wtf??? that's messed up
and no.. i don't think it's that movie with kurt russell... breakdown, i think it was called... although i haven't seen it

lots of people listed "cube".. did you know theres a second cube movie? "cube 2 - hypercube". i found out about it a few weeks ago, downloaded it, and me and some friends drank a load of alcohol and watched it, to celebrate finals being over.
i must say i dont think i liked it as much as the first one. not as many cool traps, better special effects when they needed to show them, they tried to explain why its there and , and spelled it out more, but the ending was just as weird and i dunno, i dont think it was as good. |

Seven is one of my all time fav films. A real classic and very clever ending that really makes u think. Plus Morgan Freeman is one of the greatest actors of all time.
As for ed up films, i guess i'll go with Kids. Rather appauling film :nervous: |

Mulholland drive....damn...just dont get it |
Mullholland drive is definitely one of thr weirdest movies i've seen ever. I watched it two times to make some heads or tails of it, but then at the end went to the internet and got the story.
Lost Highway
Clockwork Orange
Dr. Strangelove
Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas
Dr. Stangelove has one of the coolest storylines of all these movies. it manages to be funny and disturbing at the same time. do watch it. :) |

Psycho! it's about this dude who lived with his mom in this secluded area after his dad died...and then kills his mom cuz she was seeing another guy...and he was really attached to his mom...so he dug her out of her grave...added chemicals and stuff to keep her from decomposing.....and then you realize that half of him is his mom, and the other half is him...so sometimes he would be himself, and then other times his mom side would take over!:p
btw....i havn't see the word 'ed' so many times in one thread....
anybody see 'child's play' or chucky! this movie is my childhood's biggest nightmare....eventhough i was scared of this movie, i still saw all three parts! after that....i became paranoid everytime i saw dolls!:D |

the interesting part is that most of you list movies that are hard to understand... like fight club... clockwork orange...
i'm not talking plot-wise, i'm talking metaphor-wise... like fight club... holy , i read differen parts of the script so often, i'll prolly have it memorized soon.
another one of kubrik's films, 2001: the odyssey... now, THAT is ed up... good ed up... i couldn't understand it at all... gotta watch it again sometime |
