Help me :sadgreen:
Ive recently got reason 2, however it doesnt start
And... I dont have any idea why...

I had Reason 1 installed on the same pc before and it worked quite well, now that ive installed reason 2, it crashes before Im supposed to enter the registration key. The installation was without any problems or so and Ive tried all configurations...

I tested Reason 2 on another PC and it worked there, so I can be sure it isn't up to the CDs or something.

Some things that might be important:

my pc:
AMD Athlon 900
256MB
SB Live 5.1
WindowsXP

the pc it worked with:
P3 500
128MB
some noname soundcard I guess
Windows 2000
Mr.Mystery
How does it crash?
What does it say?

Well, I first need to insert Disc 2 and 3, after that I should actually enter the registration number, but instead reason hangs up... and I cant even close it in the task manager :conf:

sounds like it's XP that's spooking around....either that or some incompatibility (spelling?) somewhere else in your hardwaresetup...
Tiesto
Dont think its XP, Reason 2 is actually XP compatible and as i said Reason 1 worked fine.
And btw I tested it in the Win98 and Win2000 compatible modes and it didnt change anything...

As for the hardware: How do i see, if there are some incompatibilities or conflicts?

This kind of problem can be solved with the Windoctor from Symantec Norton Utilities. You can also try to reinstall windows or Reason, but I have a feeling this is something for the Windoctor.
It can also help to reinstall your Soundblaster drivers. Just download the newest ones from the creative site. And you might want to run scandisk too.

Tiesto I don't think its anything to do with WinXP. I have Reason 2 running smoothly on my XP machine at home with no problems. After the initial install, the first time you run it, it will ask you to insert each CD, then it will finally allow you into the program. You won't ever have to do that again, only just that first time. Good luck!
