Update: I've uploaded a newer version of the track!
Hey everyone. I'd appreciate if all of my NYC friends would have a listen to my newest song and give me some feedback.
I'll be submitting this track to a lot of labels soon, and I need some constructive criticism before I send it in from my own fellow NYC people, since I suppose you'd technically be considered my #1 customer =)
Thanks everyone. It's a Demo mix, so there's no intro/outro. I just want some critique on the main flow of the song.

Solid work - really like the bassline in this one and think you could add even more bottom end to it to make that that part really stand out. Dig the synths in there a lot though and think the structure really works well together.

while i agree with brad that the track needs more bass - i wouldnt say sub bass. my monitors are telling me you've got enough of that. i'd say try layering in a mid bass with a slightly different pattern. listen to dezza - i wonder and check how he makes use of call and response using sub and mid basses. then, try to figure out what will work with your track
beyond that, you need more percussion going on besides hi hats. try coming up with a nice tom groove to really drive the track
finally, moar fx's / white noise / crashes and filtering automation to transition the song along. you could probably leave the chords out until the buildup by creating a more interesting bassline as mentioned earlier and doing loads of filter automation leading into the break. itll make the track far more interesting to listen to

I'm not really a trance fan any more but I say nice sounding track either way. +1 with the bass comments. My HiFi is pushing well in the sub level with modest EQ settings, and there's plenty of upper mid to hi's, but it's a little hollow in the lower mid frequencies. A nice complimenting bass groove or even some toms like Excess said might do the trick.
Also when you have the pad looping between 4:30 & 5:40 it would be cool to play with the EQ or gains for the section to slowly bring the pad to the forefront for a lot of 'hands in the air' buildup power before the drop at 5:46, especially in the last one or two measures.

With a rockin sub groove going on this would seriously be money! Good work so far! Focus on your 40-80hz range.

Solid track so far but I don't feel like it is ready yet. I think you need to tease a little more and bring out the chords a bit more gradual and save them for the breakdown/after breakdown. The riser/uplifter synth I would try working on that and making it sound a bit bigger. It sounds on the thin side. I like the bass so far but I would again either add some more subtle elements or some type of mid bass to compliment it. With a few more changes and EQ you can have a nice big room track.
Edit: Someone suggested adding white noise, ehh I would try and be a bit more creative than that.

The riser/uplifter synth, you mean the plain "bing" noise that happens in the breakdown?

It's the noise that starts around 3:20 and has a rising pitch bend which stays on the last note into the climax.

Some of you took a listen to this track before. I have someone from a label that is semi-curious about it, and I want to make sure the final product is up to snuff.
I added some mid-freqs and EQ'd it a bit more. I'd like to hear your opinions again. Mostly on the mixdown, there isn't much I'm going to change regarding song structure.
Thanks!

Whoops, I had the wrong link up. Fixed now!

crits: the volume on the chord melody needs to be brought up in the mix at the drop because it's almost nonexistent (it should be the main element of at 5:00, leave the intro as is and bring the chords back to how they were in the original track). also, the bassline needs filter automation throughout to give the track a more dynamic feel. finally, the breaks/buildup have no ambiance or emotion - develop a feeling of journey by letting there be more silent parts (no percussion) and fill the spectrum with aurally pleasing melodic flutters (no pun intended) and reverb'd/delay'd drum hits.
that's all very minor stuff to polish off the track - you've done a great job :)
