There is something to it. Even default fruity sounds can give some sugar . First of all you need to buy/download some good samples like Vengeance Sound packs. Also you need to find some good synths like Nexus2, sylenth1, z3ta+ and similar trancy sounding synths. Also use equaliser/reverb/stereo expander and separator. Try to learn these things.
