That wasn't as horrifically bad as I thought it would be. It had no stupid annoying noises or obnoxious stab riffs, for one. It's just a very bog standard and ultra-commercial house track. All the gangsta posing in the video came across as quite off compared to how handbag the tune is, though.
The high play count is easy to explain: it's a catchy tune, and people who aren't interested in music usually don't need much more than that.
