What do you guys like to do on weekends if you aren't going into the city?
I'm a bit burnt out on doing the city every Friday and Saturday night for months now. Of course I have a local bar that I'm quite fond of, but I like doing something a bit more :tongue3 on the weekends. I've been to Hoboken before but I don't really see the appeal - if you're so close to NYC why not just venture in and bask in the greater variety? I do enjoy Zeppelin Beer Hall in Jersey City. I've been to Morristown bars before as well, though only one or two. My experience there wasn't exactly unpleasant, it's just that the crowd seemed uniformly 'bro'.
What suggestions do you guys have? My friends and I tend to avoid the guido-populated places as we just don't vibe with that atmosphere. :p

If I do stay in Jersey, I tend to grab a few drinks more uptown Hoboken, work my way down toward the train station and end up at Teak, which is an absolutely 5-star BEAUTIFUL venue. More often than not, I've heard some really really good house music the times I've gone. And if it gets old, you're right across the street from the PATH train lol...
And yeah, Zeppelin Hall is the shiiiiiiiiiit.. |

| I gave up on going out in NJ. I live far out Northwest NJ near PA border. Motown is pure bro. Hoboken ehhhhh might as well go to nyc lol. Most people in these rural/suburban towns go to TGIF & Applebees to hang out which is the worst. Nowadays I just get up early and do outdoor stuff like kayaking & hiking. |

ehhh so tired of hoboken.. the places are good but it's always the same crowd of college kids lol. i rather too hit up the city. there is always a new place to try out. |

| If I'm not working in the Paramus area by Garden State Plaza, I'm at the shore. Belmar to be exact. Other than that, NYC is all where I need to be. |

hahaha i've been there once before, it was over mdw though and the place was infested with guidos i was practically hyperventilating. there was some 80 year old dude djing too. my friends cousins have a place down there, we've been considering going down one night to party and then hitting up the beach. i usually go to sea girt to swim tho |

i'm in bergen county, but it all depends on the group of friends i hang out with. most my college buddies go to hoboken (a feeew to motown). my EDM friends end up just going to the city.
the pool at harrah's throughout the year has some big parties, same with mixx and murmur. during the summer, djais and tiki bar. and now surf club since they have some big shows coming up (morillo this sunday, for example). |
