Great mix, man, but I think it peaked at London Elektricity - The Plan That Cannot Fail. What an awesome track that was. Mixing was just fine, no serious errors. I liked some of the soul tracks, the ones with vocals from black ladies. Nice job, Ian.

thank you very much :) I'm glad you found something you liked, it was one of the first reasons I began posting d&b mixes on here 3 years ago, because I think there's a lot of music that people maybe haven't come across and if they get exposure to what is in this mixes case very melodic in places music they may well go on and find more.

Im a little confused, but i think i agree. I normally dont like DnB that much, but this mix, and one System J made some months ago are really nice. This is what makes the dj promo section worth it, i always discover new stuff

Yonny, it's not that i promote myself as a dj, i'm not one, never will be but I am able to put tunes together to help people discover stuff & for friends who do like it.

Nick, thanks. I understand your point esp as it goes slower for EW1 but then kinda picks up again afterwards. The whole LE album is very busy so the tracks often sound like that in comparison with what else is out.

The transition between 8:54 & 9:13 is so dangerous that it works. Love how the bassline fits underneath the piano coming in. Still listening but I had to pop-off with a kudos for that.

This mix had me hooked to it, from its front end. Absolutely lovely. You even managed to take DnB I normally shy away from and put it into a context that makes it work and, in the very least, kept me curious enough to find out what was coming, next. ing Ace, sir. Thanks for posting it.

Oop, I sees this and I gets this.
Ian
Thanks Eddie, although I don't hear a transition at the time you mentioned :p

Felon - Enjoy. Might be a bit too fluffy for your dark taste :thepirate

Looking at doing an 'encore' got a lot more music that will soon be biting at me to put another mix out. Anybody interested or should I save it for a few months time to let your ears recover?
Echo of Silence
Nice set, Ian, I really enjoyed it from start to finish. Over and over. Your track selection is really good. Trip actually shared the set with Michael after hearing it at one of Meg's bbq-pool parties. You're famous, Amos!

Yeah, do an encore.

And do a little for-fun set full of vocal trance from the past.

And and and...

:D
Ian
:haha: :haha: Better late than never Chrissi :D Thank you very much ;)

Yeah as said prevously in this thread, this is a great mix. Great tracks and the mixing works most of the time. Celestial Navigation has popped up in quite a few dnb mixes now I think :)
Ian
I like it, it's versatile with the very long intro that you can either start on it or use it later on and do a longish transition. I've also heard some awkward transitions with it too but mostly because the tracks used alongside it are a bit odd.
