First off, anyone that takes the time to read and assist, it is greatly appreciated...much Thanks!
The issue :
All of a sudden my Alesis Q49 has stopped functioning. I loaded up ableton to do some tests and found all my vst's aer working, I have sound, I also see the midi keyboard active switch is lit.
However , I am getting no response from the controller whatsoever.
It use to be that when I hit a key on my controller that it would register something on ableton [be it a light of some sort in ableton would show], now...nothing is working. I dont know if there is a reset key or something, but I am getting nothing at all...
This is a 2 month old controller...I cant figure this out |

| If everything worked fine before, but all of a sudden it's causing problems, I would say get a replacement through warranty. |

yea me too. It sucks when stuff stops working. I sometimes have this problem in Reason but I also use Ableton too. So, I just went into Options, preferemces, midi, and then reviewed what device was selected, what the unput is, and then what my output is. I'd double check all of that to make sure its okay.

not the best example but see under "Midi Ports" where his device is listed, "REMOTE" should be enabled. I would also do "TRACK" but "REMOTE" is the function that allows you to midi map :) |
