For this week's mix we've comissioned the first lady of Superfreq, one half of Dollz At Play and all around badass, the lovely miss Xo Chic.
Xo Chic has two musical styles when she spins, both represented in this mix. The first is what she’s known for with Dollz At Play and as Superfreq resident, an underground mix of quirky house music, off beat electro and sexy techno. Her second style, Xo Chic has developed over the years by spinning at some of Europe’s premier fashion events and although it’s still very much dance music, has a more alternative, disco, punky and pop sensibility, which has proved perfect for the fashion world.
You can catch her spinning here in L.A. alongside Mr.C every first Tuesday of the month at the Short Stop in Echo Park for their Superdisco Freq and every last Friday of the month for the transplanted Superfreq party in Hollywood.
