re EZ, I see about 12 stages, only about 3 look decent and maybe one or two are entertaining.. entertaining as in the music is cheesy but fun to party to :p

I dunno about you guys, but festivals are fun in general.. festivals with house and techno = win.. even if they're "semi-commercial" or whatever. I'm sure EZ is going to be a blast.

yeah, he can't lose cuz he'll find some good enough music somewhere with that many stages per day. I think it will all come down to weather, logistics and the type of crowd you get there.
yeah Corjay it's gonna be a challenging wknd, that's for sure. But If I stay away from copious amounts of booze consumption and away from speedy gonzales then it can be done: minimum 3-4 hours of sleep per night and a solid, solid amount of carbs and protein all wknd, solid rehydration too. Ingrosso then Digweed Sat (will leave right after Digweed is done), BC Sunday afternoon, chill for a bit then Cox Sunday night.
Anyone know when Christian Smith is set to play on the Monday, my recovery party? :p

Poppin in to throw around my two cents... even though it looks like the op has already decided.
Like has been mentioned, finding affordable accommodations this late would be nearly impossible. If I didn't have friends to stay with in NYC I would be in Montreal that weekend for sure. The longer sets from Cox and Digweed probably trump the hour long sets at EZ. Sounds like there are great daytime options up there as well. I'm not huge on festivals outside of DEMF, but I feel a bit obligated after being to the first two years of Electric Zoo. It's not a bad festival at all. It will be interesting to see the changes made this year as the attendance continues to grow.
If anybody is on the fence and has the funds to blow, NYC and EZ is definitely a good option. Like many, I was a Labour of Love regular for several years before EZ started, but the lineups lately haven't been able to compete. The boat parties in Toronto have always been nice that weekend, though.
There hasn't been much in the way of afterparties announced for EZoo yet. I expect more to pop up in the next week or so. I'd say this one is a definite for anybody making the trip: http://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?281443
