Ok, I'll have a listen to your music and make a better judgement, just that sample sounded like it would be quite simple to achieve. I also think you'd be wasting your time trying to replicate such a sample, when you could just use and manipulate that, and save yourself a bit hassle.

Ima have to disagree, i think when you can make all three layers like meriter said you have a better understanding on how the sound is made. In my opinion that would come before trying to manipulate. We all have our ways of doing things i guess.

That's fair enough, I know it was a bit arrogant but that's just the impression I get. Something just doesn't add up to me when you have owned a lot of really expensive gear for quite a while and have to ask how to make such a simple one-shot sound.

The only part that I have a question about would be the elongated cymbal crash and making that within a synth. The only way I'd do it is by layering a reverse cymbal crash sample on top of an oscilator w/ noise and a another oscilator w/ a maybe a triangle or square waveform and making that way. But to say make a patch? It would be better just to give you the sample.

i can use one of my own crashes

I don't see the point of this thread now.. If you can use one of your own cymbal crashes, then all you need is an oscilator w/ noise. Then you should be able to make it on your own.. Unless it was a challenge? Are you asking us to design something similar to see if we can?

the only part i find challenging is to put what settings on the oscillator with white noise, i'm bad at that.

You can perfectly synthesize a crash cymbal like the one in the sample layered on top of a synth and a sweep in one patch? Teach meeee... :eyespop:

I can't really hear it too well on my phone, but it sounds like white noise with a low pass filter w LFO and a little bit of reso.

noooo!

That's what i was saying. I'd have to import a sample of a reverse cymbal crash and then layer it with everything else. I mean, I know you an make kicks in synths, but cymbal crashes.. No way..
