| Does anyone have one? Comments or opinions are greatly appreciated. I plan to buy the 49 key version fairly soon here... |

| generally I'd recommend staying away from m-audio equipment, get the Akai MPK instead |

| Well I have the axiom 49 (mark 1 presumably) and it's pretty great. The keys are very responsive and I haven't really had any problems with it. |

I've only had to reset it once, then it was fully operational again. |

| Thanks guys. Well I currently have the M Audio Oxygen 49 and the keyboard is nice, but some buttons and faders decided they hate communication. I would go for the MPK series, but everything just seems too bulky for me. I had a tiny M Audio 25 key (I think) before the Oxygen and that thing was a beast. I had part with it because I needed more keys in a workspace. I'll go to Guitar Center and see if I can try out the new Axioms :D |

Why is that then?
I've owned about 10-12 M-Audio products over the years and every single one of them has been faultless for extended periods of time. |

I would personally look at these options before the axiom...
Akai MPK49
CME UF50
Novation SL49
The general opinion seems to be that m-audio gear is a little on the cheap side manufacturing wise, but that could be baloney for all i know :p |
Well, as a young lad, I can't afford expensive equipment. The SL49 MKII is pure sex, but the new axiom is also pretty good, especially since Guitar Center has it on sale until the end of August for 279.99 USD. |

Beware of any of the mk2 Novation stuff as it IS the badly built that people assume that M-Audio gear is (but isn't)
Novation stuff seems to be built solely to look good in brochures and on websites, but when you actually get your hands on it, it's appaling. |

Really? It looks nice...I haven't actually touched one though. Either way, I'm getting the Axiom 49 MK2 next week :) |
