| A few months back I was on the radio [88.9 KUCI - Riders of the Plastic Groove] and my set was broadcast live on ustream. I want to broadcast live from my weekly Friday night event - and ustream seems to be a good and free way to do it - however I have heard conflicting reports concerning ustream allowing me to do this, considering I would be broadcasting other peoples recordings live and "without" licence. So KUCI can broadcast a live DJ set on usteam because they are a radio station, but can I do it at a club? |

| Beatport broadcasts every Friday from their offices and Beta broadcasted on Thursday through ustream for Infected Mushroom. I don't think there's an issue to broadcast. |

I think their agreement might have you take all responsibility. That said, if they get a cease & desist letter then they might shut you down.
Changes of it happening? I'd say prob slim. I've seen all kinds of stuff webcast on the various free streaming sites.
Also, I personally recommend using justin.tv over ustream. I've used both extensively (I do video prod and have done hundreds of live webcasts over the years), and justin.tv just has more consistent quality. |
