Ableton setup issue

Right, I'm trialling Ableton. I was using 8.0.2 now I'm using 8.2.2.
I got the same issue in each version.
I get the same issue regardless of wether I route audio through my on board sound card or my USB NI Audio 2 sound card.
What happens is that when I preview a track it plays fine, the minute I put it in one of my audio channels and play it it seems to stutter very slightly almost like it misses part of the beat. I liken it most to that slightly irregular sound you get when doing a key correction with some CDJ1000s. Totally unacceptable, and its definitely an issue, theres no way that anyone wouldn't notice this. The flow of the track just feels wrong, and I have them playing at their 'native' BPM.
I don't know where to start, but if anyone can help, or point me towards a better place to look then I'd be very grateful. Pretty sure it has something to do with sample rate, but why, and where do. I go with it?
Cheers all.
PS I'm using an Alienware M15x with a 920xm CPU running all 4 cores @ 3.2ghz and 8gb RAM with an Intel SSD. This machine will eat most others for breakfast, basically all I'm saying is that it's up to the job of running Ableton. |

| adjust latency to 512 samples, samplerate to 44,1kHz resulting a 11,6ms latency. if it still a problem try 1024 samples (23ms). If still problem download new drivers. Make sure its ASIO if youre on PC. |

| turn off warping OR change the warp mode to either complex pro or repitch if you need it to be warped |

I do believe changing the warp mode to REPITCH, then re-warping has resolved the issue.
I've yet to listen to the results on the big speakers, but confident I can hear no artifacting now.
