iTunes will sometimes have free acapellas of popular songs sung by different singers.

i'm looking specifically to sample hip hop stuff. i don't necessarily need the entire vocal. but Biggie, Tupac, Wu Tang, etc.
or if there's a clean way to cut and filter vocals from an actual track in Ableton, i would appreciate a link to a tutorial or a quick explanation of how to do it. |

quick answer. no,
long answer, sort of, i mean there there is always some plugins that can cancel out frequencies and filter out certain parts but chances are that you won't get a clean vocal part. bigger chance is it to look for the acapella. which in with rap & hiphop tracks are quite easy to find, well singles mostly.
but a quick and sloppy way to do it, and one that producers such as premier does when he cuts in vocal samples from other tracks (that doesn't have acapellas) is to just cut the lower end and don't use a part filled with much musical content. |

| i figured they're out there somewhere, for example BIG's Juicy i see used a lot. but i didn't know if there was one specific place that maybe the lot of them are held vs. scouring for each one. |
