TORONTO, Aug. 22, 2011 /CNW/ - Concert for Japan organizers are excited to announce headliners for the event at Downsview Park on September 3rd and 4th. With 100% of net proceeds going to Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief efforts everyone can show their support simply by coming out and having a great time. Show your love for Japan and you might even win $5000 cash in a daily draw while you dance the night away! And for the first time ever in Canada you can ride the Suspended Bar 8 stories into the air for a signature cocktail or fly over your friend in the crowd on a Zip Line.
Paul Okenfold, Grammy nominated Dj and Producer, is one of the headliners to be announced for this unique event on September 4th, also scheduled for this day is House music DJ Roger Sanchez with hits on the European and World Charts that are sure to move your body. One more exciting day 2 headliner is still to be announced…stay tuned!
Sept 3rd is Rock Day and will feature headliner FTISLAND, a five-member South Korean band performing for the first time in North America. On July 2nd their final Japanese concert was sold out in just 12 minutes and Toronto has already started showing their support for this well loved k-pop (Korean Pop) band.
Actor/Comedian Orny Adams, of MTV's Teen Wolf and the comedy world's "go to guy" says, "I'm extremely excited and honoured to be hosting Concert for Japan and helping raise money for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami. Come out with friends and enjoy two days of music, dance, and hopefully some laughter provided by me". Adams was the creator of "The Pitch", a TV reality show.
Sam Tsui, a Chinese-American musician and internet sensation with over 260 million Youtube views, is also making his first festival debut in Toronto. Having appeared on Oprah and the Ellen DeGeneres show, Tsui is nothing short of a phenomenon.
Abandon All Ships turned the modern music scene upside down with their unique mix of hardcore, euro and dance. Hailing straight from the club district of Toronto are five proud GUIDOS, who spend their time pumping fists, breaking noses and making music but on Sept 3rd they will show their love for Japan.

As a "Thank you for your support", Concert for Japan has announced that on both days of the event all attendees have the chance to win a $5,000 cash prize. All supporters have to do is show their love and support for Japan by attending.
Also a first, Concert for Japan will be live streaming on FACEBOOK, iPHONE, and Android phones, with a donation button for viewers to make a contribution.
Concert for Japan will present a chest thumping, body shaking DJ Battle, with recently discovered talents DJ Illiment, DJ Lady Supa, DJ DLux and DJ Spence Diamond who will battle each other on vinyl turntables. After their combat, the audience will pick the winner to receive round trip tickets to Japan.
100% of all net proceeds, through ticket, merchandise purchases and donations will go towards Ashinaga, Japan Earthquake Relief Foundation, and Global Giving.
