Do you still have webspace you can upload to, for those whose corporate firewalls block off the big filesharing sites?

Oh, and as far as the mix, some neat tunes, but plenty of tracks I wasn't all that into. And I still can't get into the old timey jukebox mixing, but that's just personal preferences.

i'd pay a lot of money for a jukebox stocked with this stuff!

maybe it's partially the result of watching the entire twin peaks series within 4 days last week.

I actually found the mix from Forest Swords into Pocahaunted to be jarring although I commend the effort behind it :p

shiiiieet! 'jarring', from mr papsmears! :p i wish i had some outboard reverb and space echo gear. it was one of those situations where i wanted to play both those tracks, and the tempos are quite different, but i didn't want to add another track in there because it would cause too big of a lull and make the mix too much about the psychedub.

OK, I added a link to my webhost:

The music isn't much my style, but damn, that's the coolest album art ever.

thanks!

can't believe it hasn't been done before TBH.. before I drew it I searched for a while. I thought for sure someone like JUSTICE would have beaten me to it.

Ehhh, gave it a go. I liked some tracks, really disliked others, but overall I couldn't get into this mix at all. Just not my thing. I admire your eclectic nature in terms of compiling mixes though. Wish I had that kind of fortitude.

I'm just a very moody person, and my mood greatly affects what I actually want to hear. In a very direct way. It's most likely why I hammer the same type of crap over and over again as I have a lot of natural energy, so it just fits most often.

Chances are I will hang onto to this for that certain time and place when it becomes most listenable for me. And that's definitely not my cubicle at 11am, I don't think. :p

try listening with 20 denier stockings and black lipstick on, laying in a bathtub with a toaster dangling from the shower curtain rod.

jay's going to get back to me on how that went

I really loved this mix, Avana... it resonated with me a lot more than Genref#ck 1, it was very melodic and haunting at the beginning, but the funkier and more upbeat middle was my personal favorite, from the Arthur Russel track to The Rhythm of the Night (was a big fan of the Corona version back in the day!). I heard that Shari Vari song for the first time yesterday actually, while randomly crawling youtube searching for early Detroit techno, so it's funny to hear it again right away. Finally I have to mention the song whose intro is reminiscent of an old arcade game.

The mixing was a lot more my style compared to #1 as well, my only technical complaint is that at a few random points in the set, there are brief hiccups where the tracks seem to skip.

Thanks! Glad to hear it..

Those skips were the work of a bad serato record. I thought it was a fluke at first, like maybe i bumped the tables, but then I examined the record after it happened enough, and then eventually I realized what was going on and I swapped it out for another timecode record.
