Tiesto has this image of being an icon in the music world for a lot of people but specifically straight people. Does this mean that gay people don't like Tiesto's music? Of course not, I'm sure many do. However, most people do not see Tiesto for his mixing prowess (lol) but instead go for the fact that a Tiesto party is always a crazy time.
Can you see now why, if you disregard the mixing comment, people compare Danny Tenaglia to Tiesto? I'm not talking in terms of music quality or professional integrity here, purely in the sense that Tiesto and Danny T are both known as icons/pioneers in their specific field.
The only difference is one is more popular in the gay market than the other. So Gay Tiesto... |

Danny has a both a massive straight following as well as gay. If you want call Junior Vasquez the gay Tiesto, go right ahead. I'm not trying to defend DT here, because he certainly doesn't need it. I just think it's inaccurate.

I like to provoke, and although there are multiple liaisons I can make linking both those artists in a certain way, the gay tiesto thing was more of a meme attempt.
