BERK OFFSET - live
[9Volt-Musik, Germany]
It seems to be more than difficult to bundle all the interests and activities of this friendly German guy, because Rainer Maria Silke has too many faces to do so. Playing live with his massive digital/hardware gear and dj-ing exclusively with vinyl since end of the 90’ies all across Europe he had the chance to form and discover the sweet lil facettes of electronic music. From hidden sound scape projects (esp. the worldwide connected nekton falls project) over his techno and break core dj project “error” to the well known live act “cannibal cooking club” he is the man for the freaky and innovative side of danceable music. Always searching for a way to combine reduced, slow but heavy pumping and lumbering techno with his beloved Brighton sound now he founded a style he calls “Phrikkel” or “Fehlerfunk” which can
be heard on many of Offset’s releases and during his high energy live and dj sets.
To have a constant playground for him and his mates in 2006 he founded together with his friend and project partner the nonstandard techno label 9Volt-Musik, where he releases next to labels like Musik Krause or Mo’s Ferry Prod. his definition of glitchy ecstatic dance music. After remixing for Dapayk, Plastikman,Leafcutter John, Aka Aka, Sven Laux, Storlon, Alicia Hush, AndrésMarcos, Demas and others the near future will also bring releases on Unoiki, Konque, Klangscheiben, Doma Musique and Frucht plus a very exciting collaboration with Miro Pajic for an upcoming vinyl release. Loving cooperation Berk is also one half of the weird technoid glitch duo “Phööptärt”, a project he started together with Tanaka Hideyuki from Tokyo/Japan in 2007. Thought as a spontaneous completely virtual music excitement this project kicked the synapses and brought 9000 tons of fun! So it keeps going on and on and on ond an ano dn onn ao doa nn...

PHEEK - live
[Archipel/Nerv/31337 Records, Montreal]
First taking interest as a sound enthusiast, Montreal's Jean-Patrice Remillard began exploring electronic music in earnest by the early 1990s, teaching himself how to produce and manipulate sounds with software and hardware.
Nourished by his experiences and hoping to construct his own community of likeminded musicians, Pheek founded the Archipel netlabel in 2004. The immediate support and praise of media and clientele allowed Archipel to quickly achieve a key goal, releasing Pheek and Jesse Somfay's Galapagos Excursion Joint 1 as their first vinyl in early 2006. With his little family growing fast, Archipel has now launced the Kalimari sublabel, already at two releases. With Galapagos Excursion Joint becoming a favourite of Sven Vath (it appears on his next mix CD), and Kalimari's Mein Tesh included on Matthew Dear's Fabric 17 CD, Pheek's labels are now firmly ensconced in the international minimal techno and tech-house scene.
His live performances and recordings now in widespread demand, Pheek continues to pride himself on building, creating and developing… Art first.

BILLY DALESSANDRO - live
[Archipel/Siteholder/Soniculture, Chicago]
Since 2002, Chicago born and bred Billy Dalessandro has been amalgamating the Chicago-style sound with his own brand of Sci-Fi funk to ultimately provide both the crowd, and the couch potato, true sonic grit that all lovers of electronic music can really sink their teeth into. It’s no doubt that having his first releases on Germany’s renowned Forcetracks (FT40), Force Inc Music Works, and Resopal was bound to set the mark in what was to become a never-ending execution of sonic filth and destruction.
From sleazy tech-house to dubbed-out bass and electronica, Billy architects vast and rich acoustic landscapes, which are seamlessly executed in Live-improv form, worldwide. A tight network of quality labels, such as Soniculture (Kompakt’s exclusive Portuguese outlet), Archipel, Alphahouse, and his very own, Siteholder, complete Billy’s sonic DNA sequence. So bring the whole family for a fun ride at the event horizon of sounds.
