What's your "go-to" compressor?

I've been liking Logic's compressor less and less the more I use it, looking for a nice clean and transparent alternative. Something to just tame the peaks a bit and not add much color. |

I have 2 go-to compressors:
Fabfilter Pro-C - for everything and anything; so versatile with the different modes (opto, clean, classic), GUI/display, and m/s & sidechain capabilities.
Cytomic The Glue - this compressor lives on most of my busses |

Hmm that Pro-C has quite the reputation. Is it pretty light weight? |

Very. Then again, most single-band compressors and EQs are. |

It seems the ProQ is rated really high as well... maybe I shouldn't be using Logic's channel EQ for everything? Never even thought of using a third party EQ... |

Yeah I got the SSL presets for the logic comp. I'm really hoping for something more transparent, like the Waves C1 seems to fit the bill. |

Does anybody around here use the waves Fairchild plug-in?
Have been thinking about buying the JJP bundle recently, but am curious to hear some opinions from other users. |

Can't vouch for this personally, but it seems to get good reviews & the price is:) |
I can vouch for it, I use it mostly for mixing basses and drums though. For leads and pads I love The Glue. |
