Firstly, it depends entirely on your definition of "classic".
Secondly, I wasn't replying to you.
Thirdly, I was pointing out that back when these "classics" were new, people were lamenting the state of trance, just as people are now, and that most of those 2002 classics are actually pretty when you divorce them your lovely memories of the period. So there was nothing really special or watershed about that year. I talk to people who got into trance in 2004 and they say the same about that year. It's all myopic nostalgia and cognitive bias.

I would certainly say as old as I am I hope there is never a final year for classics - I'm sure a couple of last years tunes will be classics down the line and I cite Yuri Kane Whirlpool, tritonals forgive me forget you or Alex morphs long way down. Go back a couple more years and u got bobbinas spinning or orjin nilsons monster the last pluck. 2011 hasn't been as good for trance really, much better for house this year. It happens! I'm impressed by a lot of the producers around these days fair play. Btw titanic is god awful. James Cameron wrote one decent script ever and that was terminator. Nolan has set the bar again with Inception.

Not bad - but I did forget Aliens and that is a pretty damn good film though obviously owes a lot to Ridley Scott - as does a boat badly made in Liverpool to camerons 97 disaster though nit really historical flick!
