Aussie accent is not too different from the British one, is it? :conf: |
no
the aussies bend their words, a good example of a aussie accent would be steve irwins [sp?]
that alligator n snark man
'crikey! thatsa biggune!'
british is ponce :)
'hello dear boy, i'll take my tea on the tray'
'and he said mushroom, har har haar har har' |

hehe, nice examples. thanks :) I've got a doubt about British slangs:
To nick - to steal (?)
Tart - B*tch (?)
Mate - friend or everybody you know (I always hear: Hi mate! Cheers mate! Me and my mates...)
Mint - !?
Any others? |

| im from the midwest of United States, in Indiana. people here usually talk really fast, but its kinda hard to notice any kinda of accent. usually i saw my "o's" like "augh", but nothing too out of the ordinary. its kinda hard to describe:conf: |

my accent is a pretty broad derbyshire (area of UK) accent)
when i first met spad (who is a southerner) he could hardly understand what i was sayin!
demonstration:
"hello dear, im just going to the shop, ill be back soon!"
turns into
"Ayup mi duk, am just nippin t'shop, i waynt be long" |
